This cleaning chart for the women's bathroom [excuse the cell phone photo quality] was posted one day before Tim proposed. I remember thinking when it first went up how by the time we got to the end of this list, we would be into the month of our wedding [at which point my initials will turn to "MC!"]. And BAM! We're there!
I cannot believe how February has, almost literally, flown by. Here we are on the last day [happy leap year day!] and I am just now getting my first post of the month up. It was a crammed weekend of packing, moving, attending and photographing a Rock Solid Refuge student graduation, cleaning my apartment and getting settled in this temporary, one-month residence with my friend, Leah. Both of us are engaged and our fiances are each others' best man [and roommates!].
Moving this weekend would not have been possible without the generous time and energy lent by many helping hands. Tim was working this weekend and friends stepped up to fill his place. I feel so blessed by all those who took part! Not to mention the wonderful blessing of beautiful, warm [yes, you read that right], practically windless, prairie winter days! It was nine above on Friday night when I did three loads in Tim's car; I was outside in just my shirt, no jacket!
Last night, with the help of energizing tunes, I finished the final moving task of cleaning the apartment and it started to snow. I woke up this morning to it still being close to a blizzard outside and four to five inches on the ground with the temperature back in the negatives. I was saying prayers of thanks for God's timing in weather and His provision with eager movers.
The shot below was taken Saturday night after the grad. I needed a break from packing, lugging and relocating boxes so I put together some cheese, grape tomatoes, almonds and apple as my "dinner:" those few odd things you have left in your fridge when in the thick of a mass exodus. This was the last supper I had in my apartment, this first living-on-my-own space. It was a good six months. I am excited for this next month as Leah's roomie and then married life with my Tim in our new home. [25 days!!!!].
