Mom and Don experienced this long drive with little music as the CD player in their Rav is broken and they didn't have any songs on their phone yet; radio signal is patchy. I remedied this tuneless situation with many songs which graced the dance playlist from our wedding.
Along with the joy of seeing my family here in Saskatchewan and sharing our home and town with them, they came bearing gifts - some of our wedding gifts and mementos we couldn't fly home with - and my wedding dress! Other gifts they brought included homegrown garlic and tomatoes from that beautiful, lush garden in their back yard, my favorite tea, which I cannot find here yet, and.....*pause for effect* ....peanut butter! Some of you may know I make my own peanut butter since moving out to Shaunavon, but it does not compare with the delectable Nuts to You Nut Butter Organic Peanut Butter! Yes, it is that good. It deserved the pause.
I feel so blessed to have family to come visit us, a home to host them in and a husband who enjoys hanging out with my family as much as I do.
This morning, I [Tim is at work] saw my parents off as they left at 6:40 AM with high spirits for their long drive back to B.C., which now includes tunes.
