Autumn is my favorite season; I feel like I say that with all of them, but this one really is! As my husband so beautifully described on his instagram account [@z5_photography] today: "Fall has once more graced us with its rich, beautiful array of colours. This time of year the colours are so warm, but the air is so crisp and cold. The smell of harvest is in the air, and the darkness of night comes earlier and earlier. I love this time of year. Everything is so rich. The air, the colour, and the lighting. Love it." You said it perfectly, my man. Can you tell I married I prairie boy?
We live in the one section of town that does not conform to the grid system. As I've become more familiar with this area, I've started to notice little nuances that make up this prairie town. Our neighbourhood has so much character. Walking around our block, we pass the house which often has two cats on leashes out front - less often now that the weather is colder - or the house where the windows are always uncovered and the man is usually shirtless, and finally, rounding the corner to our abode, we pass the house with a tall pole sporting a Rough Rider's flag, the home of the man who nearly always wears camo and barbecues meat every night. This is our quaint town with its quaint residents. This is home.
Today marks our six months of marriage. I so enjoy this adventure we have begun together and am excited for each new day with Tim. He constantly challenges me, encourages me and uplifts me by his many loving gestures. I feel so blessed to call Tim my husband. I have wanted to be a wife and a mother for as long as I can remember, and now this wife role has not disappointed! I'll let you know how the motherhood part goes, a couple years down the road, when we get there. For now, I bid you good night.
